Final piece?

One of my final pieces for my degree show, a really simple dress, inspired by Scandinavian fashion design that shows off the fabric at its best. It is knitted lambswool that has been felted and laser cut.

Casper David Friedrich

I went to see an Exhibition of Caspar David Friedrich work in Amsterdam last week. I was so excited as his work has influenced my Final year project. The atmosphere he creates in his paintings are of isolation and solitude, being alone in a vast overwhelming landscape. This one 'Sunset brothers' is one of my favourites as it captures the feeling/atmosphere I want to create in my work.

alpaca's

This summer i have worked on an Alpaca farm that does b&b and self catering cottages. during that time i was able to use the alpaca fibre to felt with which was great. i have created a range of felted cards in different animal shapes, made felted toy alpacas and am also working on some knitted designs for the alpaca wool.
