alpaca's

This summer i have worked on an Alpaca farm that does b&b and self catering cottages. during that time i was able to use the alpaca fibre to felt with which was great. i have created a range of felted cards in different animal shapes, made felted toy alpacas and am also working on some knitted designs for the alpaca wool.

Bags and Felt

This is my first attempt at a bag to sell.  I have knitted a small rectangular shaped piece of fabric then stitched it up 2 sides.  I have made felted flowers out of blackfaced sheep wool that has been dyed.  The felting was fun to do as I haven't done it for ages.  I'm going to try and sell it on my etsy.com shop.  This design is just a test to see if knitted bags sell.  I will be basing my new designs on actual projects I am doing at the moment.

Hopefully more bags will be on the way soon but first I need more yarn and time!  

knitwear

Here is one of my jumpers, modeled by my dog Halley, he wasn't very impressed.  I knitted this on my brother knit machine then felted it, as it is only the second jumper I have made I was pretty pleased with it even though it was far too small for me!  I plan to knit more garments and accessories to sell, not for dogs though!  I'm currently working on a simple lambs wool knitted bag so images of it will be up shortly!

Colours and patterns

Well this is my first post so I thought I would show you a bit of my work.  This is a photograph from my exchange to Finland last year.  I really liked the autumn colours, they were so rich over there.  The strong colours intertwine with more neutral tree trunks to create an interesting pattern.  I really like patterns in nature and think my final year project will be based on it alot.
